Every release, in plain language. The extension auto-updates from the Chrome Web Store and Edge Add-ons, so you always have the latest.

3.18 Latest Animated GIF walkthroughs

Export any workflow as an animated GIF: each step's annotated screenshot with a click ripple and smooth transitions. Size, speed, transition and looping are configurable. Fully local, like everything else.

3.17 Bendable arrows & a hand-drawn look

Bendable arrows: drag the new mid-handle to curve any arrow; double-click to straighten. Identical in the editor and every export.
Hand-drawn style for arrows, circles and text: sketchy wobbled strokes and a handwriting font, per annotation or as a default.
Your own click marker: recolour it, pick from five professional styles, or upload a custom SVG.
A gentle support note appears about once per two weeks of actual use; "I already donated" silences it for good.

3.16 Linked titles, a live panel, dock anywhere

Step titles link to their page in HTML, Word and Markdown exports, replacing the URL footer line. Each step's URL is editable in the editor, and a Settings toggle controls the behaviour.
The recording panel stays live: captured steps kept flowing but stopped appearing after you clicked into the page mid-note. Fixed at the root.
Dock and undock while recording: move between the toolbar popup and the side panel without stopping a recording.
Accent colours work in HTML exports: one file's appearance settings no longer bleed into every other exported file.

3.15 Bold that behaves, drawings that match

A new "Exports" view in the library lists every file you have exported, with an "Open in Drive" link for uploaded copies and a "Show file" button for local ones. One place for everything you have made.
Exports from the library upload to Google Drive too, not just the editor's, when you have Drive upload turned on.
The description editor's bold is fixed at the real root: the editor was wrapped in a label, so every click in the box was secretly triggering the Bold button. Clicking in the box now just places the cursor, and bold/italic only apply to text you have actually selected. Nothing formats or lights up on its own.
The "Print now" button prints: in the print preview it used to do nothing (only Ctrl+P worked). It, and the automatic print dialog, are now triggered reliably.
Lists and bold in the description editor, fixed for good: bullets and numbering render in the editor and survive saving, stray asterisks are gone from Word, and messy editing HTML is repaired before it is stored.
One coordinate system for annotations. Drawings are the same size relative to the page content in the editor, Word, Markdown and HTML, including on high-resolution captures where Word used to look "zoomed out".
HTML exports bake annotations into the photo. Arrows, callouts and shapes are part of the image pixels, so nothing shifts when the window resizes, in fullscreen, or in print.
Word's private rendering pipeline is gone: every export ships the same baked pixels from one shared painter.
Smaller exports: baked step images are JPEG unless rounded corners need transparency.

3.14 Readers can re-theme your guides

Bold is one-time in the description editor. Typing after a bold run comes out normal instead of extending the bold forever, and headings no longer confuse the editor into flip-flopping formatting.
An Appearance panel inside every exported HTML guide (and the in-app preview): switch theme, accent, type and density live, in the self-contained file. Never shows in print.
A better-organised default Word document: accent rule under every Heading 1, a tighter heading ladder, and proper space before each section.
Template customizer polished: new rule-colour control, and editing a template no longer silently switches which one your exports use.
Word callouts now look as crisp as HTML ones (the tail is no longer shadowed).

3.13 Consistent across every export

Speech-bubble callouts render everywhere now, including Word, from one shared painter, so they can't appear in some exports and not others.
Print / PDF is fixed: steps flow down the page, dark themes print on paper properly, and a "Print now" button means it never just does nothing.
The description editor no longer types bold on you (it reflects the real text under your cursor, not a hidden toggle) and has a clean, un-clipped top edge.
Callouts default to a speech bubble, and the tail now shows in the in-app preview too, not just the exported file.
Export from the library with the same icon menu and full format set (HTML, Word, Markdown, PDF, images ZIP) as the editor.
An any-colour picker for annotations and callouts, plus a real-time tail that follows the bubble and updates colour instantly.
Apply smart zoom or spotlight to every step at once from a new "All steps" menu.
A cleaner toolbar: the five export formats collapse into one Export menu, with icons throughout.
Guide-style wording: steps read as instructions ("Click Save") instead of a past-tense log.
Manual snapshot moved to Alt+Shift+S to stop clashing with other tools.

3.12 Testing-round polish

Speech-bubble tails stay attached to the bubble, with no gap, even when the tail points off to a corner.
The Bubble button always makes a callout now, even when nothing is selected.
Freehand drawings show everywhere now, including HTML and the editor, not just Word.
Print / PDF export is back as a one-click button.
The description editor no longer sticks in bold. Bold and italic format the selection only.
Smart zoom is gentler by default and keeps arrow heads a consistent size.
Optional Google Drive as an extra destination for exports and backups, using the least-privilege scope. Off unless you set it up.
Custom CSS help: the export settings now list the classes you can target and can copy the base stylesheet.

3.11 Cleaner zoom, callouts, a real welcome

Smart zoom no longer distorts your drawings in any export. Shapes keep their true size and shape.
Zoom into any image right from the exported HTML with a built-in lightbox.
Speech-bubble callouts, rebuilt with a clean tail that points wherever you drag it, identical across editor, HTML and Word.
An animated first-run walkthrough with illustrated scenes for record, annotate, export and privacy.

3.10 Make HTML exports yours

Theme your HTML exports: colour theme, accent, typeface and density, written straight into the exported page and its PDF.
Advanced custom CSS for power users, appended last so it always wins, and safe: it can restyle but never break the document.

3.9 Import, note, bundle

Import images as steps so diagrams and mobile screenshots flow through every tool like a captured step.
Jot notes while you record, right on each step in the recording panel.
Export all step images as a ZIP, decorated and numbered, in one click.

3.8 Zoom and PDF, fixed properly

Smart zoom centres on your click and follows the click marker, with a minus / plus level control and a live preview of the crop.
PDF export keeps every screenshot, the spotlight dim and the zoom callout, whether or not "Background graphics" is on.
Bold / italic buttons show their state in the description editor again.

3.6 – 3.7 Word templates & editor polish

Import a Word .docx as a template: cover page, header, footer, heading styles and page setup carry into your exports.
Draggable speech-bubble tails, optional rectangle fill, and SVG icons across the library top bar.
Dozens of cross-export consistency fixes so HTML, Word and Markdown match pixel for pixel.

3.5 Checklists & bulk editing

Completion checkboxes turn any export into a tickable SOP checklist, in HTML, Word and Markdown.
Bulk-select steps, six heading levels, and resize handles on every shape.
Markdown exports keep your annotations, baked into each image.
